Triangle Villa Belalu

Triangle Villa, part of Belalu Boutique Resort in the jungles of Kedewatan, draws inspiration from the geometry of the triangle and the Balinese philosophy of Tri Hita Karana, which emphasizes harmony between people, nature, and spirit. Currently under constructure, Its semi-curved bamboo roof rises to a height of 8.8 meters, creating a striking vertical profile that feels at once grounded and uplifting. Supported by black bamboo pillars, the villa embodies balance, a structure rooted in the earth yet open to the sky.

At the center of this balance is a skylight at the peak of the roof, which floods the interior with natural light and frames shifting patterns of sky throughout the day. The master bedroom, surrounded by perimeter windows, extends this sense of openness, offering sweeping views of the valley and jungle while ensuring natural ventilation. Passive design strategies such as cross-breezes, shading, and wide roof overhangs enhance comfort, while the use of bamboo, stone, and wood ties the architecture to its environment.

Beside the main structure, a whimsical children’s bedroom introduces a more playful spirit. Its fairy-tale-like atmosphere fosters imagination and wonder, creating a complementary space that balances serenity with freedom. Together, the two structures invite families to experience retreat and connection in equal measure.
