Portobello Mushroom Villa sits on the top of a hill equipping an occupant of the space with an approximate 180-degree view of the landscape. The architecture of this structure uses the proportions of the portobello mushroom, its natural ability to cohesively integrate into the landscape, and implement shelter and comfort. The rhythm of the rings, repeated throughout the structure, frames the beautifully overwhelming panoramic view, allowing one to understand the ratio of their human scale to space. This experience is grounding as it creates a mental awareness between oneself and their surroundings and nurtures the ability to connect inwards.
